Plaintiff in error will be referred to as the defendant. On October 20, 1963, an information in two counts was filed against the defendant accusing her of the crimes of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. She entered pleas of not guilty and the case came on for trial to a jury on March 9, 1964.
