The defendant, Willa Beard, was charged with feloniously issuing to the Dale Rawlings Feed Store an insufficient-fund check in the amount of $78.50, in violation of K.S.A. 21-554. She was convicted by a jury and has appealed. We will hereafter refer to appellant as the defendant and to appellee as the state.
