The defendant has appealed from a judgment granting the plaintiff, his wife, a legal separation on the ground of adultery and awarding her alimony and custody of and support for a minor child.

The parties were married on December 6, 1939, and two daughters were born of the marriage, one of whom was a minor at the time of the trial. On December 2, 1961, the defendant went through a marriage ceremony in Stamford with a woman named Barbara Jean Miles...
