In a bench trial defendant was found to be a sexually dangerous person and was committed to the custody of the Director of Public Safety and incarcerated in Illinois State Penitentiary, Menard Branch. He was then 17 years old. We granted leave to appeal over the State's answer and motion to dismiss the petition for leave to appeal for the reason that there appeared to be merit in the appeal and the defendant was not guilty of culpable negligence in failing...
