This is an appeal by the State of New York from a judgment of the Court of Claims awarding damages to claimant for unlawful imprisonment.

Following his plea of guilty entered on February 6, 1956 to an indictment filed in the County Court of Queens County claimant was released on bail pending sentence. While on bail he was arrested on March 25, 1956 in New York County for attempted extortion...
