Creel, was employed by Rowan Drilling Company, Inc., from June 28, 1960 to the date of the accident resulting in his alleged injuries, December 27, 1960, in connection with operations being undertaken by Rowan in search of oil, gas or other minerals in the Gulf of Mexico, under contract to Continental Oil Company.
