Plaintiff sued defendant for damages for personal injuries sustained by him when he slipped and fell while walking on the sidewalk in front of defendant's premises located at 810 Dumaine Street in the City of New Orleans, breaking his right ankle. Plaintiff alleged in substance that the proximate cause of the accident was defendant's negligent failure to keep the sidewalk in front of his premises in a safe condition and more particularly his negligence...
