GOODWIN, J.

The plaintiff recovered a judgment against Vernon Simonson for injuries caused by the negligent operation of Simonson's automobile. The plaintiff appeals from the judgment because it did not also award damages against Simonson's employer.

Simonson is a cottage-cheese maker for Safeway Stores, Inc. He works, with three other hourly-wage earners, in the employer's Portland plant.
