WEINFELD, District Judge.

The libelants' decedent met his death when a plane on which he was a passenger enroute from Idlewild International Airport, New York, to Maiquetia, Venezuela, flying at an altitude of about 8000 feet, suddenly exploded and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean about thirty miles off the coast of Asbury Park, New Jersey.1
