The Secretary of Labor brought this action under Title IV of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (29 U.S.C. § 481 et seq.) to set aside an election of officers held by defendant union in June 1963. The Secretary challenges the election on the basis of alleged violations of Section 401(e) of the Act, which allegations pertain to qualification of members as candidates for union office.
