Upon his plea of not guilty, John Radford was found guilty by a jury in the District Court for the District of Maryland on April 22, 1965, upon an indictment charging him with bank robbery in violation of 18 U.S.C.A. § 2113. After his motion for a new trial had been overruled, he was sentenced to a term of twenty years' imprisonment, to be eligible for parole at the determination of the Parole Board.
