The State appeals from an order of the Circuit Court of Lee County quashing an indictment for murder returned by the grand jury of that county against the appellee. The sole ground of the motion was that under Mississippi Code Annotated section 1762 (1956) women were excluded from jury service and such denied to appellee the equal protection of the law as guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution.
