OPINION

THOMPSON, Justice.

This appeal concerns post divorce child custody litigation in the courts of Kansas and Nevada. At the various times involved each court had due process jurisdiction to rule, as both parents appeared and the child was present within the state where a change in custody was sought. Halvey v. Halvey, 330 U.S. 610, 67 S.Ct. 903, 91 L.Ed. 1133 (1947); cf. May v. Anderson, 345 U.S. 528
