This is an original proceeding upon defendant's petition for a writ of habeas corpus. He is at liberty on bond fixed by a committing magistrate for his appearance in the district court. He contends that the appearance bond has placed him under illegal restraint and seeks to test the asserted illegality by the writ of habeas corpus.
