Dr. Louis A. Haun brought this action against J. B. Corkland to recover $15,900.00, claimed to be due as unpaid rental on premises at 312 Gay Street in Knoxville, Tennessee, where defendant conducted a mercantile business from some date prior to July 1, 1954, until October 31, 1961, when Dr. Haun sold the property.
