The petitioner, Roland Garceau, is in confinement at the State Prison in Windsor. He is held there on a mittimus issued by the Chittenden County Court on January 6, 1964. The mittimus follows the respondent's conviction on his plea of guilty to the offenses of attempted arson, burglary in the nighttime, possession of burglary tools and grand larceny, committed on November 16, 1963.
