October 8, 1963, Marianne Mueller Hancasky, by an amended application, sought a writ of habeas corpus in the Superior Court for Pend Oreille County, contending that her daughter, Jane Mueller, aged 3 1/2, was being illegally detained by Otto F. Becken and wife.
