Petitioner was injured on February 7, 1961 while in the performance of his duties as a safety officer at the Manhattan State Hospital. In June, 1963 he filed an application for retirement due to physical disability. Subsequent to a hearing, his application was disapproved. There was medical testimony on behalf of the petitioner that as a result of the accident he was incapacitated from performing his duties and that he had received workmen...
