Delbert Chambers brought suit against the First National Bank in Brownwood for conversion. Plaintiff alleged that he had pledged an "open" automobile title with the bank to secure a loan and that the bank thereafter wrongfully delivered such title to another and deprived plaintiff of the value of the car in the amount of $1,395.00.
