Charles Penneys, plaintiff, brought an action in assumpsit, to recover on six promissory notes, in a total amount of $27,500 made by defendant, Samuel Segal, Jr., and signed by him, payable to the order of Daoud Brothers. All of the notes were dated November 9, 1953, but were payable on successive dates as follows: One for $2,500 due April 15, 1954; the remaining five for $5,000 each...
