This is an action against a defendant landlord by Mary Root for damages arising out of an injury she sustained when she slipped and fell while entering a rooming house where she lived. There was a verdict in favor of the plaintiff in the sum of $8,000. The defendant filed a motion for judgment in accordance with her motion for a directed verdict filed at the close of the evidence.
