This case and its companion cases arose out of an automobile accident which occurred in Avoyelles Parish near Cottonport, Louisiana, on the night of November 30, 1962. Plaintiffs, George A. Bennett and his wife, Maria Bennett, as guest passengers in the automobile, brought suit against the driver, G. W.
