HAMMOND, J., delivered the opinion of the Court.

Three alternatives were presented to the jury in this case — did the driver of a car which crashed into the rear of another car standing at a red light fail to apply sound brakes soon enough or did the brakes suddenly and unexpectedly fail to work or, if they did so fail, had the driver such advance warning that they might so fail as to make it negligent to operate the car on the road. The jury found a verdict...
