Laurette Madsen was an employee of the Eckert Iron Works in 1955, when its owner died. The business was inherited by Mathilde Eckert, the widow of the owner; and she turned the business over to George Eckert, her son. Laurette's duties then and thereafter were generally clerical in character: she took care of all the office work, the preparation and computation of estimates, the checking of credit...
