These appeals are from the convictions of a trucking company president (Wolff) and a Teamster Union official (McMaster) for violation of 29 U.S.C. § 186.1 This statute prohibits payment of money or "other thing of value" by an employer to, and acceptance of same by a representative of his employees, except in certain instances, including the sale of "goods or commodities for fair market value."
