On May 11, 1964, J. A. Sherrod sued Bascom A. Rhodes for damages caused by a collision on February 3, 1964. On June 1, 1964, the defendant filed an answer and cross action. On the afternoon of July 14, 1964, after a trial on the merits with defendant absent, the court rendered judgment for the plaintiff for $333.44 and that the defendant take nothing on his cross action.
