This is an action to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by the plaintiff (respondent), Vivian Middleton, in an automobile accident. She was a passenger in an automobile driven by her son, which was traveling north in the outside lane on the Montlake Bridge in the city of Seattle on November 23, 1961.
