MR. PRESIDING JUSTICE McCORMICK delivered the opinion of the court.

The defendant, Herbert Thomas, was convicted in the Criminal Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County of the unlawful possession of narcotics. He was sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of three to six years. Acting as attorney pro se, he commenced a Writ of Error proceeding in the Supreme Court which transferred it to this court.
