Appellant, a police officer of the city of Indianapolis, was indicted for bribery and after a jury trial was convicted and sentenced for a term of two (2) to fourteen (14) years and fined in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). Appellant assigns as error on appeal the overruling of his motion for new trial.
