Plaintiff brought this action against the town of Ashton and Mr. and Mrs. Mataloni to recover damages for personal injuries she sustained in a fall on an icy public sidewalk in front of the Mataloni home. The trial court submitted the case to the jury which returned a verdict in favor of the town, but awarded plaintiff damages from Mr. and Mrs. Mataloni.
