The appellant-owners contend that the burden of proof should not have been placed on them and to do so violates due process of law as required by the Fourteenth amendment of the United States constitution, in that sec. 13, art. I of the Wisconsin constitution provides that property shall not be taken for public use without just compensation; that it was error for the trial court to allow the city building inspector to testify that Brenlo was an apartment...
