Glen A. Syverson was convicted, upon his plea of guilty, of a violation in November 1961 of 18 U.S.C. § 1010 (knowingly making a false statement in a Federal Housing Administration completion certificate for the purpose of obtaining a loan). Judge Stephenson imposed a sentence of two years but tempered this by ordering confinement for only two months, suspension of the remainder of the term, and probation for four years. Syverson now...
