The automobile in which plaintiff Mildred Mahowald was riding as a passenger was stopped for a red light when it was struck from the rear by an automobile operated by defendant Forrest W. Garrison. She sued to recover damages for alleged personal injuries. The trial resulted in a jury verdict and judgment in her favor for $7,500.
