KAUS, J.

Appellant having been convicted of a felony in the superior court, proceedings on the criminal charge were suspended and a petition for his commitment under Penal Code, section 6451, was filed. A hearing was held before a judge sitting without a jury and appellant was committed to the California Rehabilitation Center for a period of 10 years, except as his earlier discharge might be provided by law.
