Defendant Alfred J. Supinski was jointly charged by information with the offense of stealing property of another having a value of more than $50.00, Section 560.156, RSMo 1959, V.A.M.S. Upon motion he was granted a severance, and the jury found him guilty but was unable to agree upon a punishment. The trial court thereupon fixed his punishment at confinement in the county jail for a period of six months and a fine of $500.00; the defendant has appealed...
