This is a suit for a declaratory judgment wherein the plaintiff, Dumas Cormier, seeks to have recognized as valid a community property settlement between the defendant, Josephine Allemand Billeaudeau (Beodeaux), and plaintiff's ancestor in title to certain property in Acadia Parish.
