Grey Edmiston, the plaintiff, secured at the hands of a jury a verdict against Samuel Kupsenel, the defendant, in the sum of $28,500.00 for personal injuries received in an automobile accident caused by the negligence of the defendant.

Upon motion of the defendant, the trial court ruled that the jury's verdict was excessive and put the plaintiff on terms to accept an award of $14,250.00 or face a new trial on the issue of damages. The plaintiff...
