Appellant, father of the only child of the parties, procured a divorce in Massachusetts on March 25, 1963, on the grounds of respondent's cruel and abusive treatment. By the terms of the Massachusetts decree the mother was given custody of the 7-year-old daughter, but the father was granted substantial visiting rights.
