After the results of the written examination were originally promulgated, appellants and two others appealed the results to the Committee on Appeal. The committee adjusted certain questions and answers as a result of which appellant Marcus was dropped from fourth to fifth place on the eligibility list and appellant Rudnick from seventh to ninth. Appellants then brought the instant proceeding to review these revisions, and the court below dismissed their petition on the grounds...
