The plaintiffs are executors of the estate of Roberta Maccoun Lanari. She was a citizen of the United States. She was the second wife and widow of Aristide Lanari, a citizen of Italy. They resided together in France. Interpleaded defendant Maria Elena Meyer-Lanari is the issue of a prior marriage of Aristide, which terminated in an annulment.
