Plaintiff seeks damages for personal injuries caused when the farm tractor and butane tank trailer he was driving on the open highway was struck from the rear by defendant Sternberg's dump truck. After a trial on the merits, the district judge awarded plaintiff judgment for $18,400, including $3,400 special damages.
