Sometime between 5 and 6 P.M. on November 10, 1961, the plaintiff Ed Vreugdenhil, age 51, was using a tractor and wagon belonging to plaintiff Ronald Huls, to haul corn from a field to close-by buildings over a graveled country road near Westfield, Iowa. He received serious personal injuries and the rig was damaged when the wagon was struck from the rear by an automobile driven by the defendant Darrell Kunkel.
