In this condemnation proceeding, the United States acquired for public use, the "coal, coal mines and workings" in and on 18.18 acres of land in Uintah County, Utah, the surface rights of which the United States owned. The issue of just compensation for the coal interests was tried to a jury. This is an appeal from a total award of $21,000. The principal questions presented relate to the admission and rejection of evidence of expert witnesses...
