This is an action for damages for personal injuries sustained by a farm worker in the course of his employment. The defendant employer appeals from a judgment entered after a verdict for the plaintiff.

The plaintiff was injured while climbing a perpendicular ladder. He struck his knee on a steel rung. The ladder was 36 feet high, and was attached to the inside wall of a shaft in a grain...
