McNAMEE, Justice.

Mrs. Jack, hereinafter called Jack, was driving her Renault automobile on the California freeway near Truckee, California. As she approached a bridge the highway narrowed. Defendant Ball Sign Co.'s truck was parked on the right shoulder or apron of the freeway just before the bridge. Two of the sign company's employees were engaged in some painting on a nearby sign advertising a private enterprise, but at the time of the accident they were standing...
