This is a suit for damages arising out of plaintiff's alleged illegal commitment to the Southeast Louisiana Hospital at Mandeville. The defendants are the Jefferson Parish coroner, two other physicians, the Jefferson Parish sheriff, and various defendant insurers. Plaintiff has appealed from a judgment maintaining exceptions of no cause of action filed by John Fitzgerald, sheriff, and his insurer, The American Insurance Company, and dismissing the suit...
