By this action the petitioner, Carl Frank Williams, proceeding under § 2255 of Title 28 U.S.C.A., seeks to have vacated and set aside a sentence committing him to the custody of the Attorney General under the Youth Corrections Act which was imposed upon him pursuant to a judgment of this Court on August 7, 1961. He seeks such remedy upon the ground that the sentence was in excess of the maximum period of confinement authorized...
