In this case Laclede Gas Company sought to recover an alleged trust fund amounting to $1,423.44 from the estate of John W. Myers, deceased. The proceeding was commenced by the filing of a petition by Laclede in the Probate Court of the City of St. Louis under the provisions of § 473.357 (unless otherwise stated all statutory references are to RSMo 1959, V.A.M.S.).
