This is an action in bailment. Plaintiff went to trial on his original petition and we quote the pertinent parts:

"* * * that on or about November 22, 1962, plaintiff and defendant entered into a contract of bailment, whereby defendant undertook for a consideration to paint a 1948 Stinson Stationwagon (an airplane) in the vicinity of Robertson County, of the cash market value of THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED and NO/100 ($3,500.00) DOLLARS.
