On November 24, 1961, plaintiff-appellant, Bertha Jackson, filed a complaint seeking divorce from defendant-respondent, Floyd Jackson, on grounds of extreme cruelty. Respondent filed an answer and counterclaim in which he also sought a divorce on grounds of extreme cruelty.
